The embarassing thing for the GOP is not that Trump is running as a Republican, it’s that almost everyone in the GOP takes him seriously. Even during the last election they publicly made a show of kissing his ring, which I think really spoke to their judgment.

Interesting; I’ve had lobster rolls without mayo on Long Island. They seemed lacking. But anyway the criticism here seems to be that it’s McDonald’s, not that it has mayonnaise.

I don’t really get this whole story; why should the kids know how much their parents make? It’s none of their business.

“I always support the nuns.”

Do the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart feed the poor or care for the sick? I thought they only taught.

“The “archdiocese” is just another name for the men/patriarchal order.”

“She’s gone from being a bullied teen who’s always been called “ugly and angry,””

I think a lot of the anti-vax stuff is just pure narcissism; “I know better because I’m so awesome.” Plus the insane belief, partially created by advertising companies to sell over-the-counter medications, that “mothers know what’s best for their children” even when they, you know, don’t.

Well they ARE effective; they’re just not moral.

Are they looking up to him, though? All it says is the project is on leadership and legacy; Bulger certainly was a leader who definitely left a legacy.

How are they going to do a better job if I don’t tell them how?

It’s lobster, mayonnaise, hot dog roll. What part are they messing up? It’s the same lobster that you’d get anywhere else. I don’t know how you can mess up mayonnaise and hot dog rolls.

Granted my circle of friends have tended towards the nerdy and non-macho...

“what would that even do at this point., I’m thinking”

Honestly the number of times I have heard a woman mock a man for being non-masculine in some way dwarfs the number of times I’ve heard a man mock another man for that reason.

The variance in exaggeration would be in the standard deviation; it looks reasonably low, so it was probably most of them exaggerating a little rather than one or two exaggerating a lot.

“Cheryan notes that women also certainly feel the pressure to be feminine and might also make bad choices to prove they can comply with gender norms—she mentions avoiding traditionally male fields, like science or tech. And of course, the ways to be unfortunately gender-compliant for women are myriad: Playing dumb,

Honestly, that’s my version of dignity, too. And if someone who the left idolizes had said the same thing I think it would be cheered by a lot of the people complaining about it. It comes down to whether you think dignity is an internal characteristic or it’s something that must be granted by people around you.

I don’t understand people who support Trump. It might not be fair, but I’ve always gotten this picture of my mind that all his supporters are white male suburban mid-level sales associates with blow-dried hair who work in business parks, go to Tony Robbins seminars, and every Friday night drive over to Bennigan’s in

“A not-so-rare win for Men Everywhere, who have, once again, avoided getting yelled at.”
