Huh? If that’s aimed at Depp, and his account is true, then what else could it be other than a setup from his point of view? If that’s aimed at the security guards, and their account is true, their first reaction was not “that’s a setup,” their first reaction was to run into the room.

Judges have wide discretion over maintaining order in the courtroom, with or without a contempt order. Did he overstep his bounds? Nope, it absolutely can be. I think it’s hard to tell from the story who’s the bad guy here. It is conceivable she was so obnoxious and inappropriate over such a long period of time that the handcuffing is justified.
