If you think there is even a crumb of a sliver of a fraction of a chance that Joel and Julia will not blissfully reunite, you are misunderstanding the Parenthood precept. Did Joel refusing to make any honest attempt at counseling make any sense? NO. Did Joel's episodes-long silence make any sense? NO. Did Joel's

I can understand feeling content enough in your marriage to have trouble seeing it fail. I cannot understand the inability to recognize when a friend or family member, in the throes of a difficult separation, is clearly talking about THEIR situation and not about you and your ideal marriage. Unless you are shamelessly

Crosby is not buying that house. Adam and Kristina are going to use the $4M in special government funds that Julia has helped them procure (more California tax money ingeniously spent), to purchase the property to start the school. A smiling, hand-holding Julia and Joel will be there at the christening, only slightly

Parenthood just increasingly punishes anyone who pays attention to these characters and their long-term arcs. What I wish these characters would have said this week, in the face of blatant Braverman douchebaggery:

Yes. This times ten. Adam and Kristina live with the delusion that Max should be able to get whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, without exception. The ridiculous Skittles machine story arc that lasted most of last season is a prime example - who cares that no kid has the unalienable right to Skittles on demand

I have to respectfully disagree. I would say that the perpetual appearance of the tired, overused, never-clever phrase "cringe-worthy" actually beats both of these in a landslide.

Some friends and I were having a rousing discussion last night, with fierce opinions on both sides of the argument. I'd really like to take the pulse of the readers here, to see which side Parenthood fans tend to embrace.
