Possibly unpopular take?: It doesn’t feel like 2016 again, because IIRC there was a general sense then that of course Trump wouldn’t actually win and even he seemed surprised that he did.

Why not both? Trump had four years of horrific policies on his record and anyone who was awake from 2016-2020 saw it go down in real time. The undecided voters already know he let COVID spread unchecked for months and kill millions, and they know he set up phony contracts with his friends to get paid for a border wall

Oh no! Not pretty dull TV. That’ll be devastating because as we all know, the most important issue here is ratings and excitement.

Nazi, follow your leader

It’s just weird to me that Trump’s obvious cognitive decline (I mean, dude was on pause for a full 90-seconds) does not get discussed AT ALL, except by late night comedians.  I’m not comfortable with either choice, but at least I know Biden doesn’t surround himself with crony yes-men or the 2025 Project people (who

Unfortunately, the only thing that would do is secure the election for Trump, since his base is far less likely to jump ship no matter what.

There was no evidence of cognitive decline in this interview.

Instead, he fell back on familiar lines: Donald Trump is a lying sociopath”

I first saw this movie around age 9, when I was aware of the general idea of sex but didn’t know exactly what it entailed.

I saw Weekend at Bernie’s ages ago as a little kid, but whenever it’s brought up I always think about when it was referenced on It’s Always Sunny and Dennis’s musings on the movie:

I don’t know if Leprechaun 5 really said anything that wasn’t already well covered by Leprechaun 4, but it more than made up for it with the emotional roller coaster of Leprechaun 6.

I see that you are not familiar with “Meatballs 2" - yet.

The Hangover II, probably III as well.

Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. It’s beat-for-beat the exact same story as the first movie, except now it’s in New York.

I feel like we, as a society, don’t appreciate Terry Kiser’s physical comedy performance in this movie nearly enough. It’s genuinely pretty damned phenomenal.

Is it a good film? No, not at all. Are parts uncomfortably offensive by standards then as well as now? Oh, yes. Did I almost die laughing when Bernie fell off the boat and started clanging. Yes, I believe I did.

This is the stupidest non story of the year. Jetlagged guy with a stutter acts like jetlagged guy with a stutter during a debate with a 34-count convicted felon serial sexual predator who has declared he intends to be a dictator and replace all remaining government officials with his hand-picked cronies, and this

It works though. People have already forgotten the downright all-time historic embarrassment that was the GOP House Follies last year, and are now focused on Joe having a bad night in front of the cameras.

All the talk the last week about Dems panicking made me realize you never hear about Republicans panicking. They’re like cats acting like everything’s fine no matter how much they just embarrassed themselves.

When I interviewed Philip Baker Hall for Bullz-Eye and asked him if the second season of THE LOOP was a tax-write off for Fox, he went into that kind of thing as well. It was very educational. http://www.bullz-eye.com/2008/08/08/interview-with-philip-baker-hall/
