Two things:

Whenever I'm reading about new apps, I always wonder what the source of the forecasting info is. I'm still using an old version of the AccuWeather app because the new version is awful and far less useful. I liked Weather.com's app better, but around here, they're horribly inaccurate.

I have not found another productivity app that comes close to RTM. It took me a long time to come around to paying the $25/year (I can't remember why, it might have partially been a drop in the tip jar in appreciation) and then I submitted a tip on how I use it and they posted it on their blog and gave me a second

Requires iOS6.

It's also good to make sure your username doesn't get saved into autofill.

I went to Fred Meyer and bought some Hazelnut and French Vanilla powered instant creamer that I keep at my desk. I put some in the bottom of my mug before I got to the coffee stand. People always ask how come my coffee smells so much better than theirs. Tastes a lot better, too.

Yeah, it's anything but perfect (sharing a bed probably also hurts its reliability) but it does two things well: (1) encourage me to try to sleep better - like it's a game or something; (2) wake me up in a good mood - I do believe that part of its claims, that it gently coaxes you awake at the best possible time - and

I only have two kinds of socks - white for home and black for work. Unfortunately, the other members of my family don't subscribe to my desire for simplicity. So here's our system - when you take the socks off, you bundle them back together. Before they go in the wash, we put sock rings (www.sockpro.com) on them.

Left front pocket: keys on segmented rings so I can quickly remove ones I don't need (work, home, car1, car2)

It was DVDs that changed our viewing habits - we discovered a few shows late after being loaned DVDs or checking them out from the library like Firefly, Bones and Vampire Diaries. We've found that are few shows that we *have* to see right away (Survivor, Amazing Race, comedies, Vampire Diaries) - most it's nicer to

Since I spend so much time in browsers these days, I've dragged the taskbar to the top of the screen. That means when I am using the mouse, the tabs and apps are all in the same place.

I'm disappointed that the same two obscure bugs still exist. (1) Have to regularly restart iTunes or reboot computer in order for iPhones and iPads to connect and sync wirelessly; (2) if you're remotely accessing (pc2) a smart playlist (pc1) and then broadcasting over Airport Express speakers, if it doesn't load the

I will use (eom) or {message in braces} in subject line whenever possible. Another tactic I've found that works really well is that if my response isn't urgent, I'll save it as a draft. Then at the end of the day Friday or late Sunday evening, I'll release all my drafts. People know that when they get messages from

I am really surprised Remember the Milk didn't place higher. I looked at the others that placed higher and their iPad (or in some cases, like Astrid, fuzzy zoomed iPhone) apps just all seem very basic. Perhaps there's more horsepower on their websites. With hundreds of tasks, I'll stick with the power and flexibility

Some nights I use time-release melatonin.

It's getting pretty heavily panned in iStore. It says to ignore the fact that it's turned GPS on and isn't using it and doesn't take much battery power. If it's not using GPS, then it shouldn't turn it on. I am also skeptical that Apple would expose enough that one app can actually see what another app is doing.

I use the iOS 5 "shortcuts" when I want to reply with a quick canned response. Works great in any app. I find I put xxtiny -> (AUTO: Sorry for short message; am swamped.) <- in a lot of my emails. (Using AutoHotKey to do same on PC.). Or am I misunderstanding "Reply with Message"?
