We have this. Using store bought pie crust and random ingredients, the mini-pies are so delicious and the whole thing actually takes very little time. Before using it, you're like "When the hell are we gonna use this?" And after using it, you're like "We need more pie crust. I'm going to use this every damn day."

Yes. And you get the discount on sale stuff too!

Peppermint bark! If your store is anything like mine was, they'll give you free TOS food.

I used to work there too (seasonal Holiday fuck yeah!). All of the customers were very pleasant. I guess having money makes you a nice person. I remember having to ask if people wanted to donate to St. Jude, and one woman donated $40. Not all rich people are stingy! Granted, her cookware cost about $500 but you

Work hard and get hired permanently. :) You won't have enough time or money to buy everything you'll want. Good bets are All-Clad, Wustof and Reidel. The pretzel mix is great! And I use their spoontulas every day.

I have that enclume rack, too. Almost forgot about that. Another great thing about working there is getting the clearance stuff. They are aggressive with mark downs.

Keep in mind that the pasta roller attachment (Which is the only KA attachment I own because it's awesome) is technically an electric so only 20% off.

Considering that the ingredients I purchased to make two fruitcakes came to almost $40, I think that $31 is pretty fair - fresh nuts and quality candied fruit are not cheap. That's right, I made my own fruitcakes; made them in mid-October, in fact. Yup.

Actually, I already own a set of LC that my mother had back in college. It's got some chips, but otherwise, I dig em. And my roommate picked us up a stand mixer last summer, though I'm definitely planning to grab the pasta roller attachment. I was also gunning for a tortilla press, but apparently they don't have one

They definitely did a decade ago, because I got their discount as a Christmastime worker, and it was AMAZING.

Does seasonal help get that discount? I have a meeting nearby. I might swing in.

Off the top of my head:

Holy crap, never thought of getting a second job working there. This is going to bomb my kitchen, for reals.

As an enthusiast of Trappist ales, I looked up this monastery in the Ozarks and saw that WS jacks up the price of the fruitcake $8.

I worked at WS for several years, and yes, also have the multipots and specialty appliances to show for it (plus a massive enclume rack that retailed for over a thousand dollars that I got for free because it was used for store fixturing).

You had me at "12-piece All-Clad set." Mmm.

I worked at Pottery Barn over the holidays one year in college, and they are owned by the same company (or were at the time), and we got 40% off at BOTH stores! I literally spent more than I made, by quite a large margin, but I had the most awesome college apartment ever.

I don't work there, but I'd be grabbing the All Clad and knives first.

Best solution? Go work there. 40% is the employee discount. I worked there for a long time and have a shit ton of high end cooking crap to show for it (including a 12 piece All-Clad set I got for FREE!) Every paycheck was basically used to buy more crap that, while not necessary in the kind of "your plane went down

Believe it or not, the fruitcake is REALLY good, but you can order it straight from the monastery for $31 (including shipping.) I already ordered one this year.
