Are you saying My Best Friend’s Wedding had cultural relevance?
Are you saying My Best Friend’s Wedding had cultural relevance?
I love that you did this.
Don’t forget Miss LaBonz from Bob’s Burgers.
I’m into it. Tell me more.
But it was about that, wasn’t it?
It used to be that parents told kids about pegging. Now the schools teach it, or worse they hear about it in the schoolyard.
Do you mean crones as in an old woman who may be characterized as disagreeable, malicious, or sinister in manner, often with magical or supernatural associations that can make her either helpful or obstructive, or are you referring to Crone’s disease? Does Emma Corrin have it? She kind of looks like she might, but I…

I guess you never saw Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows
I think he lived in France longer than he did Ireland, so he probably felt more French at a certain point. If I remember correctly, he’d been in France quite some time when he wrote Waiting for Godot. I think he may have studied languages in university, and writing in them was almost an academic exercise. Knowing a…
Not to well actually you, but Beckett was as French as Jean-Luc Picard. He was originally from Ireland and moved to France as an adult. I think writing in a foreign language really helped up the absurdity, because he really had to think about what he was actually expressing.
I’m lost myself. Is it posing to like a band that was formed in 1985? Is it because you should only like music that was formed after that year? Before it? Are you suggesting Radiohead are posers as well?
Did he play Max Rebo?
For the movies you’re referencing, this works. I don’t need a Fast and Furious trailer to be this cryptic, though.
There’s a guy who played into a person in real life too much. Now every role he does is too tongue in cheek. He can’t do anything like The Deer Hunter again.
I must admit, I enjoy the confused responses more than I would a laugh.
That’s funny. When I think of Buscemi, I think of a really pathetic guy. Maybe angry, but rarely that menacing. He’s the least intimidating guy in Reservoir Dogs (but the most professional), more bark than bite in Fargo (at least up against Peter Stormare), barely aware of the world around him in The Big Lebowski, and…
I have a picture on my phone of Burn Gorman with a thermometer in his mouth, and every time someone texts me a sick burn I send the picture back to them, although most people recognize him, but don’t know what his name is so it doesn’t really work.
They made a Saturday morning kids show of 3 different Tim Burton movies: Peewee’s Playhouse, Beetlejuice, and Batman the Animated Series. How the hell did we never get an Edward Scissorhands cartoon? It just seems like a no-brainer with the cartoonishly coloured houses, and the bizarrely dressed neighbours, not to…
There’s less of an obvious total reset every 10 years like there was back then, but 2012 was pretty different from today. I don’t know how you can suggest putting Trump and Covid aside when a big part of the 80's-90's switch was the end of the Cold War. Those sorts of world events influence the pop culture of the time…
