I don’t know, the directing category is pretty good this year. Could be first time wins for Glazer or Lanthimos, or a career-capper for Scorsese withone of his best.

You’ll have to excuse me. I don’t take your opinions seriously. Say what you will about me. You were still wrong.

Better a pedant than a dilettante.

Celebrity names don’t count as normal.

Ok, good. You’ve finally said something I can counter. Now bare with me, I’m trying to get John Landgraf to fuck me.

I believe that people use the phrase differently than John Landgraf. But as you say, people use literally to mean figuratively. It doesn’t mean they’re correct. Read any article about Peak TV written by a media publication, and I guarantee they will be using it the way Landgraf did. I would be very interested if you

It doesn’t necessarily connote that we’re churning out crap, just that there’s a lot of TV shows out there. It’s never been about quality, although I’m learning that there are a lot of people who don’t know this.

Not only A comedy store, but THE Comedy Store.

Could you do the bare minimum, and Google the term? Then come back to me and tell me that Wikipedia (the first result you’ll get) conflates Peak TV with Prestige TV. Could you at least do that, instead of just saying “Nuh-uh!,” so I can actually respond to something you’ve said that has some substance to it? Why don’t

I’m guessing this is just bad writing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Akroyd actually was banging his boss’s wife.

After several back and forths with this guy, I think it’s very charitable to call what he’s doing “thinking.”

The greater proportion has always been underwhelming (just like all other art). I don’t think it was necessarily supposed to be a good thing. Although the more TV shows produced should on average yield more quality shows, proportionally.

The ones talking about peak TV. The writer of this very article. Anywhere you see the term referenced.

No, that’s how people us it. You must be mistaken.

Peak TV just meant the most svripted shows are being made. John Landgraf, head of FX first used the term peak TV in 2015.

Sounds like tricked to me. Regardles, she seems not to have wanted people to see her vagina.

Of all the choices to play Barbie in the early 90's, there was no way the studios were going to go with the lady famous for showing her vagina on film.* There was already enough heat going on with Batman being to violent to sell McDonald’s toys.

Blockbuster also got a terrible TV show.

I do have some sympathy for her being a child star, but I don’t think she was doing work that could have a renaissance. That implies that her early work was especially good. Other than Mean Girls she was just in a bunch of kids movies.
