The greater proportion has always been underwhelming (just like all other art). I don’t think it was necessarily supposed to be a good thing. Although the more TV shows produced should on average yield more quality shows, proportionally.

I do have some sympathy for her being a child star, but I don’t think she was doing work that could have a renaissance. That implies that her early work was especially good. Other than Mean Girls she was just in a bunch of kids movies.
