Hammerhead: Also known as a sane person.
I don’t think the problem was necessarily his performance. I think the problem was that the character was a mustache-twirling villain when he would have worked better if he were more ambiguous. Leto gave us what was in the script. His character was my only real negative mark against the movie, but I don’t really blame…
You just sold me on The Council, which I had never heard of.
What, were those two Garfield movies they wrote not lighthearted enough for you?
It must’ve been a misunderstanding, but it was definitely reported everywhere this was a TV series. Honestly,it being an anthology movie makes a lot more sense. The Coen’s doing a TV series always sounded very strange to me.
Blah, blah, blah, yackity shmackity, American fascism. I understand it’s an important topic, but it’s getting enough coverage. Why not cover something more unique and impenetrable, like the mystery of what the hell happened during the production of season 2 of American Gods?
Interesting. Makes me wonder where Kathy Bates came from. She clearly didn’t come from the Warlocks if Michael’s existence was a surprise to them. Is there a third faction of Satanists at play? It would make sense since I don’t recall the Warlocks saying anything related to Satan.
Can anyone remind me what Michael’s situation was at the end of Murder House? Wasn’t he being raised by the ghosts and Jessica Lange’s character or something? How did he get to being raised by Cathy Bates? Hopefully we find out.
I finished Origins, and I played this for about 2 hours last night. Even with not so much playtime under my belt, I’m not sure I can do this again so soon. For games that are this huge and similar, I need more than a one year break between releases. Especially considering that I seem to only be able to finish one…
Weed really helped me cut down on my drinking. If I know I’m going out and going to be drinking, a little weed beforehand makes me drink less. I wouldn’t say it directly amplified the effects of alcohol, but it makes me quicker to think, “woah, I’m pretty loaded, better slow down.”
Perhaps I should give it another rewatch. I felt the last act felt like it went on for too long, which is a little remarkable because checking now, the movie is only 80 minutes long. I’d get a little more specific, but I know not a lot of people have seen the movie, and I do believe it’s worth a watch.
You just sold me your book, Isaac.
Actually, upon rewatching yesterday, the costume isn’t that elaborate. I was just wowed by the head’s cylindrical shape. They gave her reasonable fake memories.
Kids on TV always have the most badass homemade Halloween costumes. Did kids ever actually regularly make costumes as elaborate as the Rosie the Robot costume, or is this just a good-ol-days-ism?
Murder Party is pretty fun, but it feels like a slightly more polished student film from top to bottom. It’s also got some serious pacing problems regarding the last act. I’d recommend it only as a curiosity, and even then I might recommend turning it off once it becomes obvious you’re in the third act.
I just finished this ep last night and the show is starting to lose me. I dug the first two episodes a ton, and I’m at a loss as to why it just hasn’t panned out for me. Part of it is definitely that I find the test facility’s staff side of the storyline unengaging, although it’s also provided some laughs.
I guess the…
Oh really? Do you know how much of it they do get, percentage-wise? I don’t carry cash, so I’d just have to adjust based on that.
Cheers is one of the all-time greats. I don’t think there’s a better sitcom from the 80s. Unless we’re counting Full House, of course.
Question: did you track crappy tippers by memory, or did you have a list or something posted at the place you worked? Just curious.
