Came here to pose that question. Thank you for taking care of that for me.

I highly doubt that a pedantry on this scale would be able to help the article or the comments section, or even a several thousand comments like this.

You missed the point of my comment - the *missile* itself would do very little damage. It's the warhead that does the damage.

I highly doubt that a missile would be able to blow up another country, or even a several thousand missiles.

So I've just started using WiTopia VPN on my Mac and was trying to come up with a way to automatically shut down the network if the VPN was not connected/dropped. This is a timely article, but none of the referenced tools are for the Mac.

I am in love... with Allison Goldfrapp and now the skater girl in the video.

...and if the helo was actually hijacked and near its intended target, having those extra 400 knots of speed for the interceptors could make the difference between the hijackers being successful or meeting an untimely end, splattered over the English countryside.

"Dialing through" a code will not cause that code to be transmitted. It takes the transponder 10-15 seconds to change to whatever code you set (specifically to avoid this situation).

Once a hijack transponder code has been received, it cannot be cancelled until the transmitting aircraft has been intercepted and contacted. The aircraft is instructed to land at a given facility and is met on the ground by the appropriate authorities to verify the accidental alert.

<7th grade humour> I'd love to have an email address @tit.edu

"Only a total asshole..."

Good Lord - imagine doing this in the US.

Well, it can't be that long of an exposure as there are no star trails.

They make it look so easy. Try this in Kerbal Space Program and you'll rip your hair out.

What part of "These are only the initial payments, to take care of immediate expenses" didn't you understand?

A pair of mismatched flipflops, a pair of tight spandex bike shorts that would make Freddy Mercury blush and a tank-top t-shirt three sizes too small.

I had a Founder's Card for a year; wasn't worth the annual fee. Sure, you got a lot of spammed invites to "members only" things, but the overall discounts weren't that great for a "normal" person.

I completely agree with your summation.

I completely agree with your post.
