@penguiniator: Even though everybody trumpets that OS X doesn't need defragging, I bought iDefrag and ran it on both my Mac Pro and Mac BookPro and noticed significant performance increases in my virtual machines.

Pocket fishing? HA!!

@battra92: How does it take more time to shoot/process RAW? Money??

If your camera can shoot RAW, you should shoot RAW all of the time.

Simple answer - buy a spare (or two or three) battery.

I'm not sure I understand/agree with the "don't send anything back if it is a business meal". I'm sure it is a blanket statement and in general, yeah, just suck it up and deal with it, but if the meal is truly inedible or a health risk, send it back.

I wish there was an 'edit comment' feature.

The most important things are to be polite and treat your server like a human being. Being rude (even inadvertently) to a server is one of the worst things you can do in a restaurant. They are the person who will convey your wishes to the chef, and if they are upset/feel slighted/etc, the chef will get that message

Don't fold the map! There's a big crease right through the middle of Kansas now. Rolllll the map!

I have found that it does better transcribing a female voice - not sure if it is the higher register or that women speak more clearly and distinctly than men.

@Blaine Moore: Same here. I was actually sent to the principal's office for having "military equipment" in school (and this was many years ago).

@Dresarius: Biners are somewhat larger and bulkier... not very comfortable to have in your pants pocket (unless you're in to that sort of thing, which is perfectly OK).

I prefer the John Wayne method - just break the neck off of the bottle by smashing it against the bar.

@dchall8: I had a gf that could tie a double-bowline 'handcuff' in about two seconds.

I usually watch the credits - if nothing else, you see some interesting names, learn where the movie was shot, etc.
