I’ve been on a binge-rewatch of The Good Place before the second season premieres in a few days. Shame on the Emmys for snubbing it.

It is impossible to explain, to the way too many people who aren’t watching, the kind of emotional impact something like solving a video game can have on this show. There is nothing else like it.
It’s definitely nice to hear that he’ll be back (though for some reason wasn’t mentioned on this site along with the cancellation of CLASS). Still wonder how they’ll explain Bobbi’s absence. Worst case scenario she left him for a Chaos Demon (made this joke elsewhere but it works too well).
“Donna is as happy and proud as we’ve ever seen her when reading what turns out to be Haley’s Comet synopsis of Richard Pryor’s web entry.”
My own stray observation to your stray observation, more of a question really ... Comet becomes Wikipedia?
It was great seeing Anna turn up on H&CF, a favourite actor in my most favourite show.
Very insightful review. I always enjoy watching the show then coming over here to read the review. I’m an old softie, so I am hoping that things will all work out for everyone, but I have my doubts that all of the characters will end up happy.
About Today is a brutal listen. Pretty sure it’s the last (as in most recent) song to make me cry.
Great song. Using “Start a War” to open Warrior and especially using their White Sessions version of “About Today” to close it out was a brilliant choice by Gavin O’Conner.
Naw, Matt’s going to get Bear from PERSON OF INTEREST, because that Good Boy knows when to kick ass and take names!
If there’s no attempt by the series to even address any of the Inhuman material established by AoS, it’s gonna feel like a slap in the face to AoS fans.
Maybe like with Bear on Person of Interest, the Defenders could share Lockjaw!
Except Agents of SHIELD is awesome ;)
I also renew my demand to take whatever positive elements come out of this show and let SHIELD play around with them. They’ll probably know what to do and I’m sure the team would appreciate having a teleporting dog.
The actor’s delivery of that “body dysmorphia, ice for lunch” line was great.
Whoa. I think this is easily my favorite interview this site has ever done (and they’ve done a lot I’ve very much enjoyed, thank you Bronson Pinchot.)
This was an incredible read, thanks for the excellent interview!
