Wow, that is fucking fearless. And I'm afraid to leave the house when my hair isn't perfectly in place. Kind of wish I could shake this woman's hand.

I am surprised that a person that can say Murakami is on this show.

I thought that quote was awkward because she was about to say, "...so I could just be really excited to be here and not worry as much about whether this is the right guy for me," and she realized she'd be describing all of her castmates and calling them dumb on TV. So she just bailed on it mid-sentence.

I've never watched this show. But I am surprised that a person whose favorite author is Murakami is a contestant on this show.

Man, can I date Sharleen?

I feel like all the things that made him sloppy on SNL are the things that make him such a delightful host. Namely, the overflowing exuberance and childlike glee!

I can't help thinking he's going to be the best host since Carson—he has that same type of 'every guy' quality that Johnny had. I still like Letterman, but I'm another olds that grew up with him (yes to the commenter who said—"Like Conan only weirder"—it describes his early days perfectly).
And yeah,

And I want to have sex with him. So there's that. I can not say that of any other late night host. Ever.

I hated him on SNL, but he's one of my favorite people on television now. It's weird.

He really seems to have found his niche. I just can't get enough of him.

He's pretty much the best. It seems like people have SO MUCH FUN on his show so they do weird things and it's fun and different.

Thiiiis! I couldn't stand him on SNL—largely because he could never keep a straight face through ANY skit. But he really kills it as a host.

He really is much better suited to hosting.

I think this is a... very sympathetic interpretation of her character.

I've always enjoyed the original "The Longest Yard" and I maintain it's the most anti establishment movie ever to come out of a major studio.

Maybe I'm heartless but I really don't see what the problem is here. I don't see this as him being "badgered" so much as him having a perfectly reasonable reaction to discussing a painful topic. Would it have been badgering if he started to cry after the first question?

I would say this doesn't

  • Anyone else out there have a seemingly random favorite movie they want to brag about?

If we are truly talking about movies that nobody has ever said (s)he likes — sorry, The Talented Mr. Ripley is not that — I'll go with That Thing You Do. I love the movie from start to end, I love the actors, the period detail, the plot and (naturally) the song. I wish Tom Hanks had gone on to an illustrious

I watched Field of Dreams too! I also watched Goodbye Girl this morning, one of my absolute favorites. And The Age of Innocence.
