So are the bridesmaids going to actually hold the corgis or will they, rather, hold the leash that the corgi is attached to? Important distinction.

I guess if he was comfortable singling out Asians, I just don't understand why he would use "Upper West Sider" as a substitute for "Jewish".

What are the characteristics of an Upper West Sider that this chef was keeping an eye out for? How could he tell?

I generally only bring it to other peoples' homes between the months of October and March. It's good cold weather food.

I always bring baked corn pudding. It's crazy easy to make, tastes delicious, and people fucking love it. I also bring wine.

As far as I know, alcohol is not allowed in the houses of any nationally accredited sororities.

I just think that no person who has been sexually assaulted should ever feel that they need to "protect" their parents from the truth the way Kelly did. They also shouldn't be ashamed to tell. If the parents are assholes, that's a different story.

Panhellenic sororities are mandated by nationals to be dry; it is not decided on a campus by campus basis.

I just want to thank Kelly for sharing her story and say that of all the things she mentioned, this was the part that really got me:

That literally sounds like a story someone would tell on the campaign trail.

I can't tell you how many hours a day I spend thinking about the plight of the poor, persecuted white, Christian majority.

Thank you for your concise explanation. I now TOTALLY get where they are coming from. I'd be pissed too if people wanted me to be, you know, understanding and/or inclusive.

I have intentionally steered clear of much of this nonsense, but I have a serious question:

Ok so if you got in a minor car accident and we're still shaken up and family members called and said, "Just wanted to check on you, but this is super common," you'd give them an A for effort rather than feeling affronted?

I work for a state government and I feel the EXACT SAME WAY, but frankly, in a state with a Jewish population of less than 1%, I just don't feel like anything will ever change, so it is my burden to bear.

I'm not saying it makes their actions better, but I am saying that I am oddly ok with their actions.

Now that I think about it, though, my high school (private) was in Connecticut, and we had a "Winter Break," which was generally Dec. 20 - Jan. 5 or something like that, and a "Long Winter Weekend," which was a three day weekend in February. So, not so crazy!

Whoaaa. I've never heard of that. Keep blowing my mind, Maine.
