When I was a kid, everyone made fun of me for thinking Digimon were cooler than Pokemon.
Unless you pretend it’s an incoming fireball from a half-elf sorcerer.
Listen, if Lord Grantham says that this is a real photo of fetuses arranged in a jaunty way, who are we to argue?
and onions. never forget the onions.
A Møøse once bit my sister... No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: “The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist,” “Fillings of Passion,” “The Huge Mølars of Horst…
Thought this was pretty gross too: ...legendary journalist-turned-power-tweeter dream hampton took exception to Sanders’s choice of whom to approach...
Its also just weird. Why would he think that Bernie Sanders — a major national figure, in the news all the time now — required a “background” briefing paragraph in which you remind us who he is and why he’s important? Incredibly weird, just from a writing standpoint. That paragraph didn’t need to be in the article.…
“Sanders wasn’t really seen as all that serious a candidate until Black Lives Matter blew him up”
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sanders attended Brooklyn College before transferring to and graduating from the University of Chicago, where he was a member of the Young People’s Socialist League, and active in the Civil Rights Movement as a student protest organizer for the Congress of Racial Equalityand the Student…
I’m holding back so many catty comments that I feel I’ve contracted feline leukemia.
No one’s saying you have to sell your worthiness. How about selling your existence as a movement to him? How about “hey Bernie, this is our point of view, what do you think?” prior to shutting down his event. No one’s saying you need to sell him on your point of view (although, in fairness, when you’re a PROTEST GROUP…
Bernie Sanders grew up in Brooklyn, went to college in Brooklyn and worked in Chicago. Also worked with SNCC and the Civil Right Movement in general.
Note that Sanders didn’t shout at them or anything. He actually gave them the microphone when they asked for it.
It’s the point that the majority of pro-BLM articles have so far failed to address: the finger on the scale. This whole saga might’ve benefited BLM (I don’t think it has), but it has given Sanders opponents plenty of ammo to work with.
Seems like a very all-or-nothing take. If Bernie can’t fix the problem 100%, on the day he takes office, then he’s ripe for criticism because he hasn’t done enough and won’t do enough in the future? Not really a fan of that analysis.
I have an honest question for you: why is #BLM so focused on Sanders? This isn’t saying that criticism of him is unfair or shouldn’t be said. Not by a long shot.
When I saw this, I thought I should share my story but didn’t because it’s so fucked up it’s almost unbelievable.
