The B&N near me (not sure if it's all of them these days) has a pretty good manga and graphic novel section and also sells Funko pop dolls. I can't remember the last time I went in there to buy an actual book. I got a 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle on clearance.

I remember thinking The X-Files episode "War of the Coprophages" was scary when it aired (I was 11?), but then I did a rewatch after getting Netflix, and it was actually hysterical.

I'd say it's on par with the scary X-Files episodes. The overall tone isn't scary, though. I think with the mystery and the kids, it's a lot like ET.

If they're all 8 episodes like the first season, though, that's still less than 2 seasons on a broadcast network.
