I doubt it. You can’t even imagine that there’s overlap, or that people might steal these things in order to make enough money to not have to steal necessities.

Aren’t the doors removable? Take two of the doors off of a four-door model, and you have a two-door model. It’s simple math. This isn’t hard.

Acknowledging the reasons people steal helps to understand the entire problem. It doesn’t necessarily absolve the people who committed the crimes but crime also doesn’t happen in a vacuum, there are systemic factors that make crime more likely to happen. Acting like it’s just ingrained malice or whatever doesn’t help…
