The drinking was cool, but I was most impressed with his egg-cracking skills and general grace/economy of his movement. Guy has definitely spent a lot of time in the kitchen.

Heres a only slightly less creepy story from my high school:

WHY ARE “RECENT VIDEOS FROM DEADSPIN” AUTO-PLAYING. MAKE IT STOP. I AM SO FUCKING DONE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST QUIT RUINING DEADSPIN.

You’re really burying the lede here Chris, who are these people that like carrying around other people’s jock straps?  What strange sexual sub-culture is this?  Is Rex Ryan a member of this kink community?

Chris Dugan on his way home after being fired for reasons he’ll never understand

Iiiiiiiiiiiiin West Philadelphia

That right there is some advanced tanking.

Thank you for understanding how the game clock works. Listening to the announcers having no clue why this was a good play was so god damned infuriating

I loved the first paragraph of the second recap, because it brought back a memory of a similar time in my life, when I unexpectedly realised that I was completely content.

Those that doubt Deadwood, suck cock by choice.

"He is fearless in his misery, afraid of nothing on earth except his own capacity to do harm."

Doc Cochran is far and away my favorite character on this show. He is fearless in his misery, afraid of nothing on earth except his own capacity to do harm. Even better than the confrontation with Cy is the run-in with Wolcott at the end of the episode: "However you accomplish communication with that son of a bitch,

Krige will always be the Borg Queen to me.

Sol: Yes, you're correct. What are you fucking thinking of? What we've built and been through, you don't get to walk away without saying why.
Seth: You know why.
Sol: That don't mean you don't have to say it. I'm sick of knowing and you not saying.
Seth: I love her.
Sol: Good! You fucking said it. And now I get to

"Bullock would never openly, publicly, send away or 'set up' his wife and kid, and carry on with Alma."

Nuttal: I always believed, that of his sufferings on the cross, his busted ribs would've hurt him the worst.

I posted this a little late in the game….
I am new to the A.V. Club and I posted this under comments for the "Here Was a Man" episode. My boyfriend suggested I post it under the most recent episode discussion ("Mister Wu," etc.) and I received one reply from Richelieu Jr. (thank you) and he/she suggested I post it

Love for Charlie Utter
Between Charlie's stepping up to provide cover for Seth's lie about the letters he never sent and his feigning faintness when Seth was about to go get himself killed, these episodes made Charlie into the Best Person in Deadwood, in my humble opinion.
