I built a new PC 2 years ago, and I made sure to buy a case that could accommodate an optical drive so I could install the drives from my previous system that had died.

Doesn’t matter if your computer didn’t come with an optical drive. You can get an external Blu-Ray/DVD drive for decently cheap, and it’s well worth the price for the ability to rip whatever physical media you own. Buy a movie/CD, rip & encode a digital copy to your preferred format & quality, then put the original

If they were truly motivated -- or de-motivated -- by the excitement of launching their own SW trilogy, it seems particularly sad that that project died altogether. They really needed to stick the landing with GOT. All people seem to remember is how bad it got.

Yeah but that is what I mean, the prequels, for all of their many many many many flaws, told the story he wanted to tell, and while he didnt have it all worked out, and he desparately needed someone on staff to tell him “NO!” on occasion.

if not necessarily the exact details” didn’t instill confidence for me

I can’t even imagine how much money Netflix was willing to spend on this given the timing of when production started (in terms of Netflix stock valuation) the the hype around the showrunners.

The parts of their prior series that were adapted from already-written material are almost universally regarded as terrific, so I don’t think the problems of the latter seasons of Game of Thrones are something to immediately fear here.

I mean, it's a completed series, so it's not like they'll have to make up their own plots.

I’ve generally stopped watching new series right away. Too often, shows get terrible 2 or 3 seasons in and it all just feels like a waste of time. I wait until a series is nearly over and will start watching if people are still fairly positive about it.

It was definitely a show of diminishing returns. I’d put in the same basket as The Good Doctor. A couple of seasons was decent watching, with a relatively intriguing concept, a competent cast, and decent writing. By the third of fourth season in, the concept’s been milked dry and it’s repeating itself. That’s when

You’re watching it wrong.   It’s an amazing show to have on in the background while you fold laundry.

It sounds like you’re having a lot of trouble getting through Suits, and you don’t say a single positive thing about the show.

Yup, put an all new infotainment head unit in my 20 year old 3 series and it’s a huge upgrade with no downside.  And it looks factory too.

I literally can’t remember if I’ve seen it or not. I really can’t. I’m fine with that.

No. Don’t buy this.

No. Don’t buy this.

I’m guessing the have signs stating parking for Wendy’s customers only, when tow truck goon saw him leave the premises that meant he was no longer a Wendy’s customer and he was free to tow.

Markwayne is a truckstop cumshot of a name.

Eberhard and Tarpenning. Never forget.

People who are exceptional at one thing frequently assume that they must be exceptional at every thing. To make matters worse, we have a society that does everything in its power to back up this delusion. Then, to make matters EVEN worse, we live in a capitalistic hellhole where people don’t even need to ACTUALLY be
