Speaking of stupid... you can’t trot out HBOmax to make your argument and immediately shit all over it the next comment. Roku is for tv... mobile devices cover far more than than. You’re being intellectually dishonest by flip flopping back and forth.
I guess it’s all how you see it. From my perspective they’re attempting to weaponize their user base by breaking the terms Apple sets, and then pointing at Apple and saying “they’re the reason you can’t have the thing!” It actually makes me quite angry because it’s very manipulative and frankly, sleazy. I’d almost…
It’s not a monopoly. There are viable competing products, and a monopoly can’t exist within a single competitor’s own ecosystem.
I wonder if Sweeney realizes the irony in his tweet.
Ultimately I decided on the Wink because it is slightly better for side-sleepers, and I didnt need the extra firmness of the bigfig. I use a platform bed, so I didnt need the pedestal either. I also think that while the prices are similar, wink was running a better sale.

I ultimately decided on a winkbed instead of a bigfig. I have had it for about a year now, and its still pretty comfy.

Understood! I was around 360 but I’m now under 200 but I still prefer a firm mattress so I might look into one of these.

Got a Big Fig myself - it’s amazing - biggest selling point for me was that it has like 300 more coils than other brands - and has a 20 year no sag warranty.

I think that this is Epic’s strategy: they will lose the battle (lawsuit), but win the war (by turning the tide against Apple by bringing more big-league developers over to their side in this dispute). It’s a gamble, and there is a good chance that it won’t work, but it sure is interesting.
But we are, and always have been, talking specifically about IAP. I have nothing against Apple profiting off the system that they have created, but it is arbitrary the way it is applied to IAP. Credit cards take 3% of the transactions that they process, and they are doing more for vendors than Apple is doing for…
People are up in arms on the 30% cut, but for some reason they don’t make the connection that when their local clothing store advertises “UP TO 60% OFF!” that in fact the markup was ginormous from the start.
Yea this whole thing is dumb coming from a guy typing on an Apple phone, but doesn’t play fort nite yet recognizes how huge fortnite is. If epic thinks theyre such hot shit they should just make their own phone or team up with a phone distributor, market the hell out of a fortnite loaded phone and call it a day.
Who says they read? Probably just watch videos and look at the pictures.
It seems they have already filed a lawsuit. This was clearly a set-up to force the issue. They knew exactly what Apple would do and had legal papers ready to go.
I kinda get the safety aspect. Epic isn’t likely to take your credit card number and commit fraud with it....but the barrier to entry to getting onto the apple store isn’t that high, and I wouldn’t trust just any old person to use that info in a trustworthy manor. I hate sticking up for Apple, but I get it, and I…
It’s easy to hate on Apple’s walled garden but I honestly don’t see any problem with this
“ethnic intimidation” = “being non-white around someone who is terrified of everyone who is not white”. It’s like an agoraphobe trying to sue the outdoors for being there.
“Entanglement” is to “affair” as “conscious uncoupling” is to “divorce.”
