She was actually the only girlfriend I actually liked.

Are we out of that era? Did I miss the memo. Dammit!
I have never seen Broad City, but isn’t that a new-ish show? I’ve been saying/hearing “Yasss!!” and “Yas queen!” and the like for years.
“...I can play all kinds of people. I don’t have to play myself.”
Amen!!
French braids pull the hair over the braid, cornrows pull the hair under the braid (therefore raising the braid). It’s not the number of braids so much as the style of braiding.
Wearing cornrows isn’t appropriation. Renaming them and calling them the new in-trend is.
Hmm. That’s interesting. A) I’ve never heard of a Dutch braid before. B) After reading that difference, I think I’ve always done a sort of Dutch-cornrow hybrid. I use the hair underneath the braid, but I think I add it to the outer sections.
Can we be in the same tent. The added bonus for me is I work in politics, so I get asked daily what I think and who I’m voting for and the only answer I can give is “Not Trump.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The way I saw it, they weren’t directing it toward women... or men. They were directing it to everyone, in general.
I love that they have this option. Unfortunately, I personally don’t like any of the dresses currently on the website as wedding dresses. Also, (un)fortunately, I’m not getting married any time soon, so it’s a moot point.
I just started last week. I was so into it at first. I’m about 150 pages in and am struggling. The story is starting to seem like the same thing repeated in different. ways. Plus, I really was invested in the immediate background of the prologue and I don’t think that will be uncovered in the first book :-/
Maybe
I read it the way the article presents it, and I totally think it would have been interpreted differently if the shirt wearer was a female model. I think you’d still have people interpreting it both ways, but the ratio would probably skew differently.
Hmmm. I didn’t read it that way, but I see it now. It’s definitely problematic that it can be read either way though.
Women have daughters and mothers and wives as well.
Starring only because you made me laugh, not because you’re any less wrong or I’m any less right.
Oh, hmmm. I’m not even sure if I say it singular or plural. I’m going to pay closer attention next time I say it (but I think I say it singular).
