On the ringer’s NBA podcast the other day, one of their commentators pointed out that Thibs might be the first coach/GM in history where you are fine with the moves made as GM, but question whether you want him around as a coach any longer.

I actually heard Thibs on Zach Lowe’s podcast a few months after he got fired from Chicago, during that year Thibs was NBA-unemployed.

The frustrating thing about the Thibs vs. GarPax feud was that there was no one to root for in that fight. You’ve got one side that’s right about most things, but SUPER wrong about one thing (Thibs), and the other side right about that one thing but wrong about just about everything else.

No joke: it was one of the sources of his endless feuds with the Bulls’ GM team. They were actually AGAINST grinding down the bones of Luol Deng and Jimmy Butler, if you can believe it. I absolutely despise GarPax almost as much as I despise Donald Trump, but even a broken clock is right twice a day
