Going from V12 to 12V? Now that’s a switcheroo.

I just did the window regulator! Not sure how you do it without tripping the air bag light, but my neighborhood dealer was happy to turn that off for me. Spidey sense tells me waterpump is soon, but that doesn’t look that hard.

That is exactly right.  My wife refused to look at a Lexus when we bought last time because of its looks.  Fortunately she has no such threshold for how I look.

#3 - that’s brutal, if a brake job stings and you are taking 6 year loans, why on earth would you ever consider moving into the luxury segment where everything just costs more? Good grief some people need a swift kick in the head.

A $30,000 Land Cruiser is 10 years old and has 100,000+ miles on it.

Trying to buy this or a 4runner for my winter car right now. Found one of each that seemed to be good deals, but both are sadly gone.

Dude, as someone who has a 996, if one more window regulator or door microswitch goes, I’m going to lose my mind...

You’re kidding, right ?

Sure. How hard can it be to hire 48,000 new employees at once, and then train them to build cars?

Is Buick a luxury brand? I have a new one and I’m not even sure.

It’ll survive the apocalypse, but it won’t survive the “wife despises the styling” factor.

Lexus GX460.  Undisputed build quality and reliability.  Literally designed to withstand the apocalypse.  Technology is good not great and it isn’t an X5 in driving dynamics but it is as tough as a vault and has a silky V8 motor.

I bought a 2007 base Cayman for just over $20k a few years ago and it honestly astonishes me to this day how much car you get for that amount of money - even after you throw in the astronomical insurance and maintenance bills. It’s the best car I’ve ever driven that costs less than six figures. Nothing else in the

The factory wheels are pretty enough, and selling these ultralight spider things will fund sending it to a competent mechanic to undo the ridiculous lowering. This car is slinky and lowslung enough, we don’t need to give the centipedes haircuts.

Hard to believe this is a 13 year old design. This still looks very fresh and modern to me.

It’s all part of their plan. Their really terrible plan.

As I said when the Bangle-mangle BMW 7-series set sales records - “imagine how well they would sell if they looked good”.

I hate the 6.2L paywall as much as anyone, but this isn’t quite fair.

I came across an old Toyota pickup the other day. You had to reach DOWN into the bed. It was so cool.

But there’s a Silverado trim for all of us! the Real People (TM) told us so!
