I love cars and motorcycles as much as the next guy, but I don’t want to hear it constantly. I love engine sounds, but I don’t want to hear them revving at all times of the day.

You know what more annoying that hearing motorcycles being tuned all night? The Macarena song looped at 138 db and aimed right at an ignorant neighbors head for 5 hours while he’s trying to sleep and you are out shopping. It’s just the best!

Should have built a pump track, not having to pedal a bicycle and constantly hitting jumps is much more fun.

Stuff like this is why HOAs exist.

Ah, the new normal. Where protesting is anti American, but colluding with a hostile government is ok.

This.

I tried out TrueCar in the summer of 2014 when I was kind of interested in leftover 2014 Nissan Frontiers. I still get emails from local Nissan dealers about deals on Titans.

I’ve only ever perused the Great List of Craig and like outlets, but no interior photos is the biggest nuisance I’ve encountered.

I agree with the mislabeling manuals, very annoying. But mine has to be the ads on some of these sites. I’ll use autotrader as an example because I have gone to strictly mobile use because it’s unbearable. You go to the website and its fine and you go to click on the drop down to start searching. As soon as you do a

“large scrape on passenger side from being sideswiped while parked”

On 3rd party sites, I always flag those ads a fraudulent.

Looking on the new car OEM site, specing the car just the way I want it, going to the dealer and having them tell me that they can’t get that car because they want to flip me into a car in stock. This happened when my 80 year old father wanted what was probably the most insane car I ever ordered. He wanted a Cadillac

I think we need to start a movement to replace “Automatic/Manual” with “Has a Clutch Pedal: Y/N”

Actually Tom, you hit the nail on the head with the manual transmission post - I will not buy an automatic car - so when I see manual, but an automatic shifter in the photos, I move on.

My local one I hated(sure it happens elsewhere), one dealer would show awesome price in newspaper ads and in fine print it would say with incentives and $2500(example, amount varied) down, I get the incentives but the including a down payment as a lower price was slick, I wonder how many people they got to bite as it

The biggest disappointment?

That a mid 2000's STI STILL cost around 15k with over 100k......w.t.f...

Yeah well... that’s perfectly fine for rational people.

This is why I don’t snipe on online auction sites, it is too easy to get too caught up and pay over the odds or get angry. I put in my top bid, close the tab, and then if it goes over it goes over if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Either I’ll get one eventually, or I’m being unrealistic about market prices.

Aside from the manual/automatic thing, for me it’s dealer ads filled with a bunch of bullshit like listing all the features that come standard for all trim levels anyway... particularly when it’s combined with wordy bullshit like “THIS BEAUTIFUL CLEAN CAR COMES WITH HALOGEN HEADLAMPS, RADIAL TIRES, SAFETY GLASS, POWER
