my brother, a collegiate gymnast, maintains that she’s the greatest female athlete of all time. she has won virtually every competition she has entered. she took two years off after the Olympic quad, came back... and swept USA Nationals.

in defense of stretching, i think the teams are doing more “dynamic” stretching than static stretch & hold, which is generally a good precursor as it helps to elevate core temp and prepare the body for movement through full ROM.
