Not quite at the Tyrrell-BAR-Honda-Brawn-Merc level, but I’ll allow it.

I’ve been watching F1 long enough to love Schumacher for being the next big thing, hate Schumacher for being too dominant and making for boring races, and then idolizing Schumacher for being GOAT so get outta here with that condescending nonsense.
C’mon mate, do a little bit of research before you go around making factually inaccurate statements (or better yet, if you’re not confident in the subject you’re commenting on, don’t comment).
Why? F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport. The F1 feeder series adopt this role so that people don’t stagnate in the feeder series trying to get to F1.
or... get this... they actually follow motorsports, and they already know that F3, F2 and all other feeder series for F1 already have this rule in place.
Ahh, so the payout that is several times higher than F3 is just not fucking good enough, despite F3 having better viewership and better attendance.
Good to know that the W series special treatment isn’t special enough, it actually needs to be a fucking dominant advantage for any W series winner to join practically any…
This is genuinely inspirational stuff, as a broke person with no free time I suddenly want to hitchhike to the US grand prix to see Magnussen and Grosjean DNF in person
Before they turn off comments here, just wanted to say that this was a fantastic piece. Thank you...
It’s a condition for a series to grant Superlicense points so that a dominant driver doesn’t just camp in that series collecting SL points to be eligible for Formula 1. So, someone wanting to buy their way into F1 could get a seat in a relatively smaller championship like Formula Regional Europe in a Prema, and spend…
Truuuu.
Deadspin forever. Fuck Jim Spanfeller and Paul Maidment
Mercedes today was Brawn yesterday and Honda before that
I started typing a similar comment after one of your previous articles and then hand-slapped myself for how condescending it sounded and deleted it, so here goes another attempt. I know I’ve been more than a little snarky in some of my responses to your earlier work, but it is absolutely awesome to see how far you’ve…
*sniff, sniff*
Imagine this happening in literally any other racing or sporting league
Top quality jalop. Many feels, being a Haas fan, which, ugh. Fallen so far from such initial promise.
What an awesome damn story. This is peak Jalopnik, and why I keep sticking around despite all the idiocy going on now. I somehow missed all this as it happened, and it’s such a cool, interesting, emotional story. All the thumbs up.
This is why I come to this site. This is good Jalop.
i would imagine allowing winners to remain in the W series would increase the competition and skill level among all drivers in the W series.
Get well Drew.
