Far be it from me to defend Vettel, but he’s never finished behind a rookie, and won’t do so this year.

Does it matter that the quote is a complete fucking lie?
Legend? I really like Vettel, he’s always been a been a terrific driver, and his career achievements would certainly suggest he is a legend. But it’s worth noting the only teammates he’s consistently beaten are Bourdais and a late-thirties Webber & Raikkonen. With losses to Ricciardo and Leclerc.
Since everyone is locked up for 2020, if Vettel were to leave (he won’t) I guess it would have to be Raikkonen for a year. Nearly everyone is available for 2021, though.
How is red bull so good here
Gasly just baffles me time and time again. His entire career (as early as GP2) has consisted of ups and downs, to the point where he’s one of very few drivers on the grid that I feel like I have no idea about how his career is going to turn out.
Not getting involved in the Vettel vs Leclerc debate, but it’s the first non Mercedes/Ferrari podium of the hybrid era. Last one was Austin 2013.
Sochi is a good example, but it’s also the only one recently where Seb was clearly the quicker man, really. The tricky part, obviously, is that they’ve been on such different strategies lately (whether planned or unplanned) making a direct comparison of outright pace quite difficult. They’ve been close in that…
Well, at least you’re honest.
Here’s where I don’t agree. Ferrari has been much stronger in races the second half of the season as it looks like they’ve figured out most of the issues with their car. I was genuinely shocked when they won in Singapore, less than two months after nearly being lapped in Budapest.
Couldn’t agree more on the part about Ferrari’s engine development. Particularly since they had to deal with the token system for a few years. It’s a major credit to Binotto that he’s managed to turn that department around, and it’s a reason to give him a bit more time in his current role as team principal.
I love Alonso, he my favorite driver ever, but that’s bullshit. Ferrari won a lot more than McLaren did these last few years. Also, saying he decided to leave Ferrari isn’t entirely accurate. The decision was kind of made for him when Ferrari decided not to wait on Fernando and signed Vettel.
They haven’t, though it’s worth noting Ferrari’s reliability is still better than Renault and (probably) Honda.
I don’t actually think Red Bull ever stopped wiping the floor with them, relatively speaking. Since Red Bull is not an engine manufacturer, it’s only fair to compare the chassis/aero departments, and there’s a legitimate argument to be made that Red Bull have ended up with the best car on the grid in 10 of the last 11…
by what measure is Vettel outperforming Leclerc in the races? Genuinely curious what you can come up with here.

by Antonio I hope you mean Banderas because there’s no way Giovanazzi should be allowed within 50 miles of Maranello. He’s been predictably terrible this year.
In the current formula, it’s actually the other way around.
Well, considering they couldn’t run their intended livery for most races I’m not so sure about that.
It’s so incredibly ignorant. Of all the things you can rightfully criticize Ferrari on, the engine department isn’t one of them. They’ve done an incredible job considering how bad they were in 2014.
