This just in...rich people getting richer!!
No it’s not. Look up EPA CFR (code of federal regulations) for definition of defeat devices. It is especially illegal if this function isn’t declared ahead of time but by and large the engine/vehicle cannot operate differently in the lab than it does/would in the real world.
Not the fastest!
Camry. You’d have a case with F1, WEC, and maybe even NASCAR Sprint Cup but not here.
That’s a GRC Lites car, not the Supercar.
Are you sure this wasn’t a Cars and Coffee event? I don’t see any people but maybe there was a crowd just out of frame...
“Oh yeah, that...I was...uh...loose, yeah - that’s it! Loose 2/3 of the way down the nearly flat front straight and just couldn’t gather it up in time. Oh well. I’m retiring. I also killed a guy one time so this really wasn’t that bad at all.”
You can kindly eliminate the continuous run portion of your Mustang argument. The Mustang II is not and shall never be considered as a part of the lineage. It’d be like Chevy calling the Cobalt SS the inbetween model from 4th gen to 5th gen.
Look up the SuperGT version in Japan that has been racing for almost 3 years now. I think it's even better than the GT3 but clearly very far from the production platform.
You can’t measure power directly - just accept this and move on :-) Yes, it’s a technicality but an important one.
Robb - depending on what class you enter in the future, change the stock or sea-level matched turbo out (with an engineer to help you out) for a PPIHC specific turbo. It is possible to maintain sea level power all the way to the top if done right. Feel free to message me and I can put you touch with some helpful…
Robb - how does this compare with Pike’s Peak now that you’ve done both?
Had the same thing happen to me in the Hill Climb Racing game on my phone and got a medal for it! The realism factor of that game just went through the roof.
So:
Feels like some revisionist history going on here. I’m not saying these f-bodies were the highest quality vehicles available, but they were very good at a few select things - and those things were exactly what their buyers wanted from it. Why call it garbage for that?
How much should it cost then? This is the world we live in now...$20k performance cars are not much bigger than a pair of pants, so $30k is what you have to spend now.
Only one T for this diesel.
Nissan GT-R (Super GT GT500 class). Back to back championships.
