I had to read the article just to see how dumb it really was. I won’t watch the video...

The headline picture is amazing. Nothing like showing a robocar crossing a gore point illegally.

Came to same thing. Perhaps the age of the Jalopnik staff is too low to fully appreciate how big of a deal the C5 was when it debuted...

That’s advertised and best-case.  Guess how far most diesel trucks go in a single driver shift? (Hint: it’s over 400).

The answer to your question is that it doesn’t work as well on an over-the-road tractor (semi) as it does on a locomotive, even if that ‘work’ is rooted in capitalism (though I would say consumerism, in this case). There are different reasons for the locomotive to have an electric drivetrain - namely that it allows

Audi RS4 (B7 2006-2008). Give me 8000+ rpm V8s or nothing else matters.

...nevermind

There is a requirement for a minimum-sized glass mirror on all trucks. Camera-only is not legal yet.

Did you watch all the way to the end or stop when you got the answer you were looking for?  Because the real answer depends on how the collision occurs, or in the case of the video - how you bound the problem.

I have no idea if the price is in the right range or not, but if anyone is considering buying it and would like a local to hoon and/or drive it thoughtfully, I’m probably only about 10 minutes from this guy.

How in the world did NASCAR not make sure all of their playoff races are on network TV?  Such a dumb move.

8th gen Honda Civic Si. Cheap. Unbreakable. Fast enough to get in trouble.

Unless you think there will be a physics revelation making battery storage extremely light weight, your assertion is false. A battery powered truck with an actual highway range over 500 miles while loaded (again at 65 mph) would weigh around 12,000 pounds more than today’s diesel truck. Twelve. Thousand. Pounds.

Pretty sure WRC is still using 4-cylinders across the board. Toyota may have asked to use a 3-cylinder at one point.

For the record, no one calls it “Pavs.” I’ve been going for 30+ years - before the freeway was there - so I’ll fight anyone on this important point. Then get off my lawn!

It’ll be on bringatwinibeam.com next week.

I stopped reading at 500 mile range, but unfortunately that was pretty close to the end already. Lol this is one of the dumbest things I’ve read today, and I spent a little more time than normal reading AZ politics news on Twitter.

Have you driven in Phoenix? It’s not a good place to split lanes. We already have one of the highest per-capita traffic death rates here - no need to make it worse with unobservant drivers hitting motorcycles they don’t expect to be next to them. This practice also translates to motorcyclists splitting lanes at speed,

Not surprised.  Subaru and powertrain engineering are not synonyms.  I know it’s love/hate for the boxer, but they can keep it.  What an awful paperweight compared to every other engine on the market in the last 15 years.

My first car - for a few months, anyway - was my parent’s 1988 Grand Prix. It was a pre-production model so it had some interior options from the SE that you couldn’t get on actual models, but was still a base model otherwise. With the 2.8L that overheated if you looked at the temp gage. I remember changing
