Engines are wear items

A buddy of mine bought a salvage Elise for like $15k a year or two ago that was totaled for this exact reason. Good shape mechanically and reasonable miles, but the cracks in the front clamshell did it in. He just drives it as-is with no issues.

Cadillac XLR tail lights. Sealed LED units with a chip board inside that go bad with age, so they need to be replaced. BUT, they also don’t make them anymore! So truly unserviceable. So used ones go for $2k+ each. When all those go we’ll have a lot of mechanically totaled XLRs just because the tail lights can’t be

So................. erm, Vauxhall/Opel Mokka then!?

“It makes me think about how silly it seems that Opel wouldn’t import these to the U.S., but then again It’s possible that even with their cool design, the Buick badge might keep American drivers at bay. It’s a shame, really.”

Not sure how a brass piece is going to warp. This is likely stronger than the plastic piece ever was. The only downside I can see is that the plastic housing it went into will likely break before it does, so the potential for the next repair to be much more difficult is higher.

How is this janky? This fix is less likely to break than the original design.

Yeah four people have bailed out on this car.

Imola Red flags.

All those owners and only 80,000 miles are a pair of Crimson flags I can’t ignore.

They are okay looking in person surprisingly. I think it has to do with them being physically much smaller than you expect based on the photos.

$7000 if you want it, $10,000 if you don’t want it.

If he had a habit of listening to legal advice he probably wouldn’t have sold flamethrowers to the general public.

Use the acceleration lane (on-ramp) to accelerate!

I don’t know how many accidents I’ve almost seen because someone is trying to merge into traffic on a highway at 20mph below the speed limit.

Clearly not a man to let the lawyer he hired tell him what to do on the witness stand. If I didn’t think the guy was insufferable before, Jesus Christ. Trying to pull the “I’m saving the world what are you doing” act in open court like that’s some sort of “get out of jail free" card. Listen to your counsel and shut

First and foremost: people who drive at night with no headlights.

Show the court on the teddy bear where Jalopnik hurt you.

The oil won’t help. Oil also bonds with the starches and proteins shed by taters and pasta. What doesn’t get bound up will just go down the drain or cling the pasta when you remove it from the water.

It’s like the new Doctor in Doctor Who.  But the concern with this new car was that it didn’t perform well in the first round of testing.  Just like every other remodel before it.
