I’d be very willing to buy a PHEV today if I were in the market for a new car whereas I wouldn’t even consider an EV.  They seem like the best of both worlds without the compromises that EVs have. I’m not sure where all the hate for PHEVs is coming from.

Just to add to what other posters said, that power outage in Texas didn’t help anything either. There were some chip fabs there that lost power, leading to a difficult clean up and restart process. They lost weeks or more of production on some cases.
