In fact, they both attempt to climb on it and it flips over. Cameron even shot a scene where Jack explicitly tells another survivor that the door will only hold one person or it will go under. I honestly think he left it out because he figured that the door flipping would be enough to explain that there was only

Every bit as fun as the asshats who insist on arguing the door would have supported them both

Jesus tap dancing Christ, how many times do we have to do this, it wasn’t about the area of the floating door, it’s about how much weight it could support. If Rose & Jack were on the door it would have partially submerged & Rose would have died of hypothermia before the lifeboat arrived.

Smart dealers. A lot of the truck dealers in FL do this, have 5 or so in house modified trucks sitting on the lot, bigger wheel and tire packages, lifts, bumpers etc to capture that buyer.

NEVER MIND, I’LL TEXT YOU WHILE I’M DRIVING.

And what does Range Rover have? An Autobiography? ‘nuff said

Wanna bet that as well as more ground clearance and off road tires, they offer the outback in the much cooler, funkier colors that come on the crosstrek?

Call me when the Wilderness BRZ becomes a thing

Here’s the thing.  Big tires?  roof racks?  slight lift?  These are the things that are easily and cheaply solved in the aftermarket.  You know what these models NEED and can’t be provided by the aftermarket?  Transmissions that don’t pull power, overheat and die after 50,000 miles when used off-road.

I hope they are considering adding a version of the Crosstrek to this line-up. The only Subarus I see in my area are Outback, Foresters and Crosstreks.

We’re hoping that the Wilderness edition...”

It was a poorly executed nod to the original concept, which had a greenhouse that could never make it to production in a million years.

I think it’s perfectly fine for EV’s to be “not for everyone” at the current juncture, but in my opinion 150-200 miles of range for people with at home charging solutions should be fine. That’s enough to pick up probably 75-90% of people who are using it to commute, and gets you a good 2-3 hours of highway driving for

Maybe he is trying to:

Right. I can’t go for a drive without seeing a buick encore which, itself, rides on a 10 year old chevy sonic platform from Korea. But hey, they look nice.

I think 5-minute fillups is unfortunately something that people are gonna have to live without for a little while. 10 or 15 minutes, yes, but 5 minutes will take some serious technological advances that aren’t even on the horizon at the moment. PHEVs exist for a reason, even if they haven’t sold as well or attracted

Huh. If I could get that for around $25k (which seems entirely reasonable to me given that the Fiesta ST was attainable for $20k), in a good color, with a manual and a proper LSD... that’d be a compelling replacement for my speed3.

This is kind of like when Alan Mulally saw a Mondeo in Casino Royale and asked “Pardon me, I’m just the CEO, and forgive me for asking, but why can’t we have that in North America?”

Shit, just bring IT as the next-gen Ecosport.

It doesn’t even need to be the ST. They don’t even have to call it a Puma. Why not just make the EcoSport look like this? Granted, I’m not the target demo for a compact CUV, but if I had to choose one, the EcoSport wouldn’t be it. An EcoSport that looked like this might be.
