BMW 328i wagon. E9x or F3x generations will work fine. F3x is newer, E9x is cheaper and has a manual transmission as an option.
Well played, my friend. Well played.
Came here just to say that. This thing is just one pedal short of absolute perfection.
Cool!
I wouldn’t buy it for that price, but I might have already made a parts list to build one out of my brother’s 2004 Outback ;)
Ah, you see, there’s where you went wrong... If I’m seeing that picture correctly, you bought a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder Subaru.
100% agree. I could begrudgingly give up a third pedal for an automatic transmission on par with Porsche’s PDK in terms of overall experience (shift timing, controllability, durability, etc.). But anything else? Forget it.
This is a really really great car that I honestly wish I could like. But no manual, no buy. This is especially true if the automatic is garbage, which it sounds like it is.
Car being sold in Wisconsin: “No rust whatsoever!”
I read the build thread and I completely understand his choice, but I still can’t un-hate that automatic transmission.
1000% agree.
I was just thinking this!
Agreed 100%.

This comment needs more stars; this is a very lucid and accurate representation of the issue.
I agree wholeheartedly. Reading through all their points, all I could think was “wow, these people all got suckered so freaking bad.”
I disagree.
