The states can only function as labs so long as the feds tolerate it- the Feds are probably going to be run by Pence in this case. And he’s a fucking lunatic.

And here come a zillion Americans WAY more qualified for my expat job than me...
Sorry, but no. I’m not going away. Like I said: I’m a progressive and the repeated failure of the DNC to be up to the task is really troubling, especially when you slot up what we know now against the repeated failures of downticket Dems.
Sorry, there’s nothing ‘republican spin’ about the DNC being so dysfunctional that OFA had to take over a lot of its operations. There’s nothing ‘republican spin’ about Brazile leaking debate questions, or about the memos about the Clinton Foundation and influence peddling.
If you don’t care, why are you replying to me?
So... we’re on the same page, but I’m more strident about it?
If you don’t think that dysfunction within the DNC and the corruption that the email leaks have exposed within Clinton’s inner circle are problems, you’re not paying attention.
See, where I’m standing it’s not just her fault... but I’d blame the people around her for dismissing calls for greater security more than I’d blame government as a whole. Clinton has clearly picked a lot of people who are not good at their jobs- and she’s held onto them. The Podesta hack wasn’t way back when, it was…
That link is a really interesting read. Also from my experience, ‘Negative Politeness’ is the default mode for anyone from the Czech Republic or Canada.
While cybersecurity in general is a big problem for the government, the dismissal of basic encryption as too hard when she was Secretary of State is not on par with the House being bad at it. Especially when people within the White House were on Podesta about it.
And Trump doing so is horrible and it’s terrifying that that didn’t implode his entire campaign. But we don’t discount it just because he seemed to assume it was a private conversation despite being on mic.
As I understand it it’s because they got terrified of their workers unionizing and just decided to give them a good deal so that they wouldn’t have to.
I think you’re misunderstanding. I have absolutely no problem with her using a private email server to avoid FOI requests and to have her work and personal emails on one device. It’s shitty and shady, but everyone does it and it’s not illegal or unethical.
I used to equivocate like that before I realized that Pence probably got the same deal that the Trumps were offering Kasich: IE, total control over policy.
Parisians are the worst!
Like I’ve said downthread: I already voted for Clinton by absentee ballot, but Trump being an absolute monster shouldn’t mean that we let establishment democrats off.
See, I’d agree, but one of the emails that’s leaked is one where Podesta and crew basically put off implementing basic email security. Eight years ago. When Clinton was the incoming Secretary of State.
John Podesta is not the government. The DNC is not the government. The Clinton campaign and DNC are not government groups, they’re partisan political groups.
Even if it’s a village pub it’s probably basically a chain operation. Private Eye did a good story about the ownership of pubs a while back. Episode 19 of their Podcast (http://www.private-eye.co.uk/eyeplayer/podcast)covered the essentials.
Well, both Wasserman Schultz and Brazile are longtime members of the Clinton camp, although she did try to oust them. Not because they were unethical, but because Wasserman Schultz in particular was running a VERY dysfunctional ship at the DNC.
