Already said it on an earlier comment, but also being in the Elementary Ed, our profs are always talking about how male teachers are needed in daycare, early and late elementary. Very important for kids who may not have a positive male role model in their life to maybe have one as a teacher. :)

I've always been a bit confused about this too. I'm pretty sure a lot of my guy friends who enjoy reading love detail in writing and don't mind if the plot takes it's time.

Omg. I hear ya on that one. I was looking outside a window at work and I saw one of those guys sitting on a fire hydrant eating a WHOLE sparrow. I think my co-worker was particularly shocked because he fed those guys peanuts every afternoon.
