If I’ve never played this game and always wanted to, is the Steam release an okay way to do it? When it launched with all those issues I wrote it off, but it seems better... I guess playing a subpar version is still probably better than never playing it.

I am absolutely garbage at these games (never beat FFT despite pouring dozens of hours into it) but I keep playing them. I fully expect to be crushed by Triangle Strategy but to enjoy it nonetheless.

I actually wish that for pixel based games like this they wouldn’t even do voice acting. That’s probably nostalgia for the old games like FFT but still, it’s easy to justify when the VA is generally weak. At least I can turn it to Japanese, a language I don’t understand, and then just read the game.

Personally, I think it sucks to sell two partially incomplete games instead of just a single, complete game.

I think it’s a shame they don’t abandon the scammy dual game release structure, but the green cat is undeniably adorable.

Yeah, my cat is an indoor cat, but we keep her well fed and safe and we play with her every day, and she has lots of toys for when we’re busy. She seems happy. I hate to think that we’re being cruel or that she feels deprived

The only thing that’s been keeping me from buying it is I get bored of action games pretty quickly sometimes, but the narrative elements and the good buzz it’s been getting since release definitely have me considering it.

“I hope you get bought out by Konami” is now going to be my go-to insult when I am really, really angry at something. Because damn.

I’m a geography geek so Worldle has been a lot of fun for me, though quite hard (my ability to think in terms of spatial relations is not great, apparently). Just tried this Nerdle thing for the first time and it took me all 6, but I got it. Not sure I’ll be able to keep up with it every day, but it was pretty fun.

His casting as Superman was just about the only thing I liked about Man of Steel (I never even bothered with the others). What a perfect role for him.

Oof. Yeah, that’s not the movie I’d rip off if I were going to make a cyberpunk story (if I didn’t have my own ideas and really wanted to do a Gibson thing, I’d just rip off Neuromancer).

I haven’t played Cyberpunk yet so I have no opinion on the “Is it an RPG” debate, but I will say that a part of the reason I’ve dragged my feet on picking it up is based on concerns I’ve had since before it was even out about the narrative. I mean, its title is literally the name of a genre that is all about exploring…

The newer AC games are exactly the type of thing when I think about the problems with open world games over the last almost decade. There’s so little actual content in them, it seems, but plenty of busy work (which I get enough from my actual work, thank you very much).
