I’m not a Final Fantasy fanatic, I’ve only played a couple, but from what I’ve played X is really my favorite. I don’t know how common that is—at the time it seemed that was a pretty unpopular opinion, but now that the game is 20 years old perhaps it’s been reevaluated? There’s some stuff in there that doesn’t work

I just had the same reaction! I am such a dummy, wow.

Man, whatever you want to call it and whichever Asian country you find it in, congee is great! It doesn’t need adapting to western palates, western palates need to adapt to it. It’s so basic and simple and tasty.

You know, it’s funny. I do own a Switch, and I actually do get some good use out of it! It’s actually the only new console I’ve bought in a decade, preferring PC gaming. But I never use it in handheld mode. And I can’t explain why I don’t, but I just don’t seem to have the interest. So that’s a big part of the reason

I think the Steam Deck is a really cool idea, and I hope it works out and is well supported. Personally, though, I prefer doing PC gaming on my PC (I barely even buy consoles at all anymore--other than my Switch the last one I had was my 360) so I don’t know that I would get a lot of use out of it. But I hope it’s

Now playing

I don’t 100% get it either, if I’m being honest, but I admire the dedication and the creativity it takes to do a lot of these things. That’s why I enjoy reading about it, personally, though others may have different and more thought out reasons.

These pointless and absurd self-imposed challenges are just the best.

Has anyone seen the Papers, Please fan film? That’s a really good short film also.

The motion controls are part of why I’m excited to finally play this one! I’ve always avoided motion controls, to the point that I never owned a Wii, because I’ve always been terrible with them (which is why I’ve not played Skyward Sword before now), but I’m excited to stop being a coward and give it a go.

This is honestly one of my favorite Archer episodes just because I love Bourdain so much. He’s really a lot of fun in it.

Oooh that’s weird. I’m seeing the movie tomorrow, I think, and I kinda wish I hadn’t learned that until after seeing it. Not sure how I’ll feel about it.

I’m super psyched to play this when I get off work today, because it is now the only mainline Zelda game I haven’t played, and the controversial response to the original Wii release has had me intrigued. I often have differing opinions from others regarding Zelda games (I will, for example, always insist that Zelda 2

Cry from watching the movie? I nearly cried just reading the review.

Well damn, now I wish I was one of those people in the know!

I don’t like The Force Awakens too terribly much. It’s fine, but I honestly like one of the prequels a lot better. Despite its many problems, Episode III works in a lot of ways and feels like a genuine artistic statement, which is something that TFA never manages. And the new characters wouldn’t grab me until The Last

And this is where them not looking like the characters from the movies becomes a real problem. Because if this looked like a shirtless Chris Evans, maybe it would work on me.

Yeah, speaking as a writer who would love to make that his job but who can’t afford to relocate to NYC, this is a serious bummer. Ah well, such is life.

Tarantino’s wrong about things often enough, but he’s sure as hell right about this. I love going to the movies, but movie theatres sure do seem to do their best to drain all the joy from it.

A huge thank you to you for writing these articles today. My wishlists have gotten a little bit bigger, and even though my wallet and backlog are eyeing me angrily, I’m very excited for some of these games.

They have all those little legs! What’s not to like?
