I can’t tell you whether you should or should not accept people’s apologies (we agree, for what it’s worth, that LaKeith Stanfield’s apology seems genuine), but I can say that the idea that Natalie Wynn has repeatedly defended Buck Angel is completely untrue. Further, that tweet above is clipped out of context from a

I haven’t played 3 yet, but Hitman 1 and 2 are so good, and if you purchase them you should be able to play them in Hitman 3, including any QoL improvements. At least, that’s how it worked importing Hitman into Hitman 2. And the missions are super fun, well worth playing, in my opinion.

I’ve honestly never played one specifically because people only ever talk about what a system hog it is and not how fun it is, which strikes me as a bad sign.

Basically every month is backlog month for me, because I spent probably more than a decade without any new consoles or a PC that could play any game worth a damn. Now that I’ve got a Switch and a decent PC, I’ve got, oh, probably 100 games to catch up on currently. I’m making a decent dent, at least!

I don’t have a great sense of direction, and I would honestly not be surprised if next time I’m in Akihabara I fail to realize where I am at some point because of this. I definitely have used that sign to orient myself more than once!

Thanks for the info! That is good to know (and yet another reason I don’t do preorders anymore no matter what, hah).

That’s not a bad point. Personally, if the game is fun I’ll often pay the price (and even 25 years after its release, I still have $10 or even $20 worth of fun with Diablo), but things go on sale so frequently that it makes more sense to wait.

Well I mean, I get it. As I’ve said, I’m not interested in multiplayer at all, unless it’s something like my partner and I playing Mario Kart or Tonight We Riot or something side by side. Online multiplayer or shooter multiplayer has never been for me. But I too would be bummed if a feature I really dug was being

Oh, fabulous! Thanks for the tip. Last time I played it was probably 8 years ago because after that the game just was too difficult to get running.

Multiplayer’s not my thing, even good multiplayer, so I never played it. I am surprised that hater of all things single player EA isn’t bringing that back, especially if it really is still that popular 9 years later. Maybe down the line as a paid DLC loaded with predatory microtransactions? Let’s hope not.

Not a big fan of Activision Blizzard so I doubt I’ll be playing this, but it’s certainly tempting once it’s out. I sure loved Diablo II back in the day, especially the first half of the game. Actually the first Diablo remains my favorite, it had great atmosphere and holds up relatively well today, if you can get it to

Whoa, that is different than what I’d heard. I was under the impression that it did include all DLC. Actually, wait, I remember now—it doesn’t include Pinnacle Station, right? I suppose that is a shame, for those who enjoyed it, you’re right. Same with the multiplayer, which I never played outside the demo but

Ooh well hey, that is still good to know! I really appreciate the information, clearly the information I had was inaccurate. Thanks!

Haha well, I’d hoped the context of the rest of the post made that statement sound a little less silly, but I guess not. What I meant was if all games have stuff cut during development, what makes Mass Effect different that doing so renders the game lesser? Cut content is just the reality of... really any form of

True! But, unless I am mistaken—which, you know, odds are good that I am—the version available now does not include things like old preorder bonuses or stuff like that, and I think I read that the remaster will.

I’m all for questioning 100% of what a corporation tells us, but isn’t taking out a ton of content during development pretty much universal in games? I guess I’m curious how cutting stuff out means it’s not a complete experience?

Hah, well, that’s certainly an option! Of course then there’s no voice acting, and my point wasn’t so much that I don’t want to hear any, just that I like the balance in the original version of Disco Elysium. Still, more paying work for voice actors is never a bad thing, and I realize I’m basically the only person

I’m quite excited. I used to be a huge Bioware fan (Baldur’s Gate 2 remains my all-time favorite game), and I love all 3 Mass Effect games, despite their not inconsiderable flaws. I’m wary of any new EA product, of course, but I am cautiously optimistic that these will be a good time. Especially since my Xbox 360 is

I absolutely love this game—Disco Elysium was possibly the best gaming experience I had last year, and last year I started playing Hades. However, maybe this is just my “old man yells at cloud” moment, but I do sort of wish the Final Cut didn’t have full voice acting. I adore the art of voice acting, but one of the

Probably just different strokes, you know? It’s clearly a game a lot of people love (me included), but it sure isn’t for everyone. I found it both fun and thought provoking in equal measure--and what was cool was my partner, who plays few video games, also really got into it, so it certainly seems to have done quite a
