I feel this comment in my bones. Any time my PC, TV, or receiver get a firmware update I can typically expect an hour or two of futzing around upgrading everything, messing with settings, and just generally clutching my head and softly weeping because I have a toddler and any barrier longer than 30 minutes pretty much

Living that burbs life where there’s always some more shelving to put up or something to fix. Put up some storage for the garage this weekend and extended my sump pump outlet a few feet back because, in their infinite wisdom, the developer ran a swale through my front yard with the gutter downspout and sump pump

I technically have... FFVII Remake, TLOU2, Tsushima, and Paper Mario in progress, but I see Mario continuing to run away with my time this weekend. It’s so bright and silly that it has felt like a really nice breathe of fresh air from *gesticulates wildly*.

I get that. My main arguments for Cars 2, which is not a particularly good movie, but is at least the one I almost look forward to parts of, are:

Took the words out of my mouth. Oceans 12 and Cars 2 (listen, I have a toddler, I’ve had to watch all of them a million times) are secretly the best, or at least most interesting, films in their respective trilogies that were particularly poorly received.

Ooof, hearing that about Mikado is a real bummer. Haven’t been since 2016, and no idea when I’ll get to return, but the prospect of losing a bunch of arcades definitely makes my heart hurt.

Well I was and am still super bummed that Powerpig (https://chrismcveigh.com/cm/welcome.html) couldn’t sell his independent sets any more once LEGO hired him, I’m hoping he had a hand in this set because his independent work was nothing short of incredible.

This is so engrained in me that I forgot where it came from... christ.

Ooo, we’re on the Oral-B timer app that doles out stickers. Might have to give this one a shot.

Hence the voting. I mean, I get it, but I reckon if the community can agree on cutting out a miserable chunk of the run, there’s no harm. Plus one could propose a new category.

Are there other examples of fully justified FAQs with no word breaks? If so I’d love to see them, it must take an incredible amount of work.

+1 for Astro Boy. Bless Jenn Frank for pointing me towards that game.

CO is reopening slowly but surely, and it has been a bit of a shitshow as you may have seen on the news... Blech.

Dunno if I’ll pay it but I’ll watch the everliving shit out of a speedrun of it.

We live in the burbs abutting the western slope in Colorado. I’m not the hugest outdoor person but I am going a lot of walks with my kid while they get the hang of their tiny little toddler bike. I’m kind of astonished at how well that whole deal is going. No training wheels or anything, we just offered it as an

Oh fuck.... I always thought he said “even MTV”.... Which makes no sense, but at no point in the intervening 30 years has my brain ever reconsidered that line.

No clue if this is even remotely relevant for you, but I live in some very mildly podunk burbs and the solution round these parts for flour has just been going to local restaurants that have converted to basically just wholesaling ingredients. The boujier places absolutely price gouge, but at least some of the mom and

I have one medium and one large pleasure in life this week.

This is a totally reasonable take (thought ultimately untenable in terms of bringing traffic to the site I’d wager) but wow... Lotta folks in this thread who seem to elide the fact that Kinja is an open blogging platform... Like, if ya’ll wanna see small games get highlighted on this site specifically, the reader
