I’m watching Giant Bomb’s Super Mario Sunshine thing and my god it’s a stark contrast. It’s hard to fathom how 64 did so many things so well and how profoundly SMS went back on a lot of them. It’s not a terrible game per se, but compared to the 3d games that came before and after, it certainly feels like a lull.
