Fair enough, but unless you’re a militant prescriptivist we can all use the singular neutral “they”. If you intend to avoid that mixup in the future, that seems like the safest bet since it renders the point moot.

Haven’t shipped a game or anything, but I have worked in development for a while now, and I can say that things tend to be super hard to estimate. Like, insanely hard. So even if you broke it down to the best of your ability, it’s still probably off my a significant margin.
I was looking at my copy of this game just this week. Has anyone replayed it recently, and does it hold up as super amazing? I’m wondering if my memories of it are more a product of the time and its contrast with the first game.
Very well said. It baffles me when the same sort of folks who probably hail something like Bioshock as the pinnacle of the medium can bitch about keeping politics out of games.
But it’s $60. Aftermarket mania doesn’t really factor in to the value proposition on its own merits.
I think the appeal is for (probably a vast majority) of folks who don’t have any interest in using an emulator, or who want a turn key way to set up their kiddos, friends, or themselves with a plug in and play box.
Hey, I was in that comment chain too! I’m super happy to see that this became a thing, and I’d love to see more!
Couldn’t agree more. I’m being disciplined and taking my time to get through her books, but I’d rank Bonk as one of the funniest books I’ve ever read (Like, Catch-22 or Confederacy of Dunces funny). She is the best!
Ha, ah well, you took one for the team. I was gonna post the exact same link, then I decided to make doubly sure.
Nah, the article is misleadingly named. The veterans have all passed.
Did you read the page you linked to?
I mean, she’s been posting since September 2015. Not sure if you meant to imply that she busted out a crazy number of videos in the last month and a half.
That is the most bafflingly edited thing I have ever seen.
What are you talking about?
Ha, thankfully we have guardians like you of the one true gamer. Gotta keep those young whippersnappers out. I’m sure William Higinbotham felt the same way when he saw the first consoles come out.
How do I pitch my boringness as a subject?! I got scooped on the boring person beat :/
If I don’t pre-order, how will I thinly justify my outrage when a game isn’t exactly what I assumed it would be?!
Like it or not, dude has brought a lot of young folks into the gaming fold. He’s an important part of the industry and worth covering in that sense.
Hey, I live really close to his grave!
What if I agreed about keeping action out of movies? Or portraits out of paintings? I kinda think freedom uh subject matter is... um... intrinsic to creative media? Or that if it were mandated to be a forbidden subject that would be, you know, censorship in an actually meaningful sense of the word.
