The effort to bridge minds with people is lethal. Again, if you watch the movie, Kylo Ren foreshadows this this first time he’s connected to Rey. “I know you aren’t doing this, the effort would kill you.” And then Luke does it to LITERALLY EVERYONE ON CRAIT.
