THANK YOU!!! I saw that video years ago and have been trying to find it again ever since! I’ve told friends about it, I made a post about it asking if anyone remembered where it was posted, I’ve Googled endlessly - then suddenly there it was in my feed.

Saying a Miata’s biggest flaw is it’s size, is absurd. That’s like saying a house’s biggest flaw is it’s inability to fly.

...an ND Mazda Miata...an NA MX-5

“...but now there’s at least one thing you won’t have to pay extra for anymore...”

Why do companies love doing stuff for the sake of being different?

Now playing

Bugatti? What, no love for Koenigsegg? They did this long ago with the turbo on the One:1:

Filed to CRAS? 😋

No water injection yet. The supercharger is setup for it with water ports (it is Jim’s old supercharger), but I haven’t installed a water inject system yet.

Nope, it was street tuned.

NA body, right?

3.0L 1MZ-FE, TRD Supercharger, smaller pulley, Supra MAF and fuel injectors, piggyback fuel controller, custom mandrel bent exhaust, wideband O2 controller, electric exhaust cutouts, all gauges and switches hidden in the trunk and routed to my phone.

Nice!

Good luck, they are super hard to find! When one came up for sale, I snapped it up so quick.

No. I think that one was a yellow one and had nitrous. There are lots of V6 swaps out there, I think a majority of them are overseas.

My daily-driven, V6, supercharged, tuned, straight-piped 93 MR2. Freaking love this car.

“Fighting”?

I was as shocked as you. I think it may have actually been $8.50, in Ventura county. The V6 was from a 2001 Toyota Cary with a TRD smog-legal supercharger kit.

Yea, sometimes it’s a pain, but you are making huge generalizations.

1 - California is a big state. Smog requirements for downtown LA are not the same as more rural areas. They are much more strict, and for a good reason. Also, you are assuming that everybody in the state takes the 405, or even lives anywhere near LA

To drain water that might collect there. Since the pipes are straight cut, rain and other water can get it. The slits help drain it so it doesn't sit in the exhaust and rust it.

For around $34 you can get the Universal X-Grip Holder which comes in three parts: The suction cup, the arm, and the X-Grip phone mount.
