Being a long time reader, collector of Pratchett’s Discworld series, I kept an updated Word document with great funny and excellent quotes from all his books as I read them. 27 pages in length. There are so many wonderful ones. Here are some others:

‘Sausages! Hot sausages! Inna bun! Meat pies! Get them while they’re hot!’

My favorite aphorism comes from China:

What duck?

Damn I gotta read Pratchett.

Terry Pratchett was a gift from the gods (even the small ones). I adore his writing so much, and it’s such a comfort in difficult times.

From Small Gods

I’m kind of jealous of you! So many awesome books are awaiting you. I’m missing about 5 books right now, and then I will own all the novels. Going Postal is one of my all time favourites.

Honestly, the best best embodiment of that is Vimes. He is constantly warring with his darker side to do things properly, for the good of everyone.

Need to add the two I always come back to:

Just read the entirety of the Discworld series. Or better yet, Pratchett’s entire bibliography.

An exchange (not Discworld) that keeps popping into my head these days:

When I read the title, my first thought was, “Please, include the bit about learning to believe little lies to prepare us for the big lies.”

You bring this up now that we’ve got four years of Lord Snapcase to look forward to.
