I think the people who REALLY like Fight Club understand it, and as you pointed out the novel fleshes it out more.

That’s the best ending. I’d even accept the ending where future-robots find David and he ironically becomes the strongest link to now-extinct humanity despite being marginalized by them his whole existence. There’s something to that idea.

I don’t care who wrote it or what point it was supposed to make, but the ending of A.I. was insane nonsense that arguably ruined what was, up to that point, a masterpiece of a movie. It should have ended with a fade to black with David staring at the face of the Blue Fairy at the bottom of the ocean forever.

Yeah I saw that one, I’m thinking the population of people who think their Raptor is suitable for offroad jumps isn’t exactly high IQ to start out with.

This does actually happen already.  There are hundreds of closed tiny-ass bridges in the state.  Many have been closed for years and years, because there is no money to fix them.  They are everywhere.

That’s too bad. This universe is cool and still should have more to offer with the support, but it seems like all the drama surrounding its poor release has taken its toll and CDPR wants to just move away from it all and fall into the warm, loving familiarity that is The Witcher series.
