While the shop has gotten nicer and the camera presence has improved, the premise remains the same. But I’d still like to know how long some of those jobs really take, like the time Edd swapped…

That would have been a pretty interesting show if they had actually shown them building bikes. I know not everybody is a fan of their design style, but I just enjoy watching people fabricate parts and whatnot. The family BS was just that, but clearly, these shows are for ratings, not enthusiasts.

That’s why I watch Wheeler Dealers. Buy a car, fix a car, sell a car. I’ve actually learned quite a bit watching Mike and Edd.

There is jury rigged and there is jerry built. The first is a nautical term, the second refers to something that is shoddily or carelessly made. Jerry rigged is likely a derivative of the first, and is accepted by some dictionaries.

CNN is reporting that the fire suppression system “didn’t work.” I guess not.

How does Disney have the rights to Stokowski’s orchestration? They might have something to say about the particular performance in Fantasia being used for this video, but how do you know that this is that particular performance? I don’t know who owns the rights to the edition (perhaps Theodore Presser nowadays, though…

My very first thought. You know, parts of that movie were insufferably bad, but parts of it were really pretty funny.

You keep calling the front line ramshackle etc, but it seemed to work just fine (for the most part) for Cousins and McCoy.
