Ummm, he uses the word “presume” right at the beginning of that sentence. >_<

Guy kinda looks like Tom Hanks and Jonathan Frakes had a baby together.
You’re as dumb as that broomstick that you put in your ass “by accident”.
Your proper use of an interrobang pleases me. A star for you.
What are the odds Gillis apologizes by doing a Mickey Rooney in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” impersonation, 50/50?
I didn’t realize he did A Simple Favor. Dammit, I had all my Ghostbusters jokes ready and then I had to go and get a grudging respect for him!
please tell me he’s doing this:
Will there be blackjack and hookers?
Whoa, I forgot how boring Firefox was. Thanks for bringing that childhood memory back. The plane/non-plane ratio in that movie was seriously off.
From the start, the media campaign for this made me skeptical (at the least) for this movie, with each successive revelation of stills, footage, story info in the somewhat ubiquitous media blitz making this look like more and more of a disaster.
I just looked for Tron on eBay, and this appropriately came up:
I remember Tron losing the Best Costume Design Oscar to Gandhi. Now, even when I was a kid, I knew Tron wasn't a great movie, but I did think it had Best Costume Design wrapped up! Gandhi?!?! The guy wore sandals and a blanket! Big effin' whoop! Great costume design guys! What's that Nehru's wearing? A Nehru…
The best thing Tron had going for it was its art design and animation, which is still good and fun for its time. The script, direction and acting are all incredibly laughable. Jeff Bridges as he plays his original CLU program before he gets sucked into the space himself is similar to the how the aliens in Galaxy Quest…
People still confuse their ambivalence toward Tron: The Movie with their love of Tron: the Arcade Game, which was awesome.
"David Warner," that is to say.
yeah I was a kid when the first Tron came out… never actually saw it. I seem to recall it being a bit of a flop, but you would see that arcade game for it everywhere, so I guess the game was a secret success.
The original 'Tron' is not very good at all. The visual effects are cool if cheesy, but beyond that it's a dull, confusing mess peppered with sporadic bouts of David Warren.
The love for it now is based solely on the fact that it looks awesome and had a cool Wendy Carlos score. Everything else about it is pretty bad. In other words, Tron: Legacy seems to be the perfect sequel.
