I thought it was Ted McGinley in a wig.

Thanks!

Late to the party, and too many comments to sort through, so throwing this out here:

What a delightful read.

I loved those cards. Put together a full set as a teen, buying packs right off the candy racks.

Same here, man. (The "first" part, not the "re-read" part.)

Loved that show. Kudos for the reference.

Have you read any of Moore's Superman-proper work, like "Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow?" ('Superman' #423 / 'Action Comics' #583, 1986) and "For The Man Who Has Everything" ('Superman' Annual #11, 1985)?

Just a drive-by post here, but wanted to say that your insightful reviews have been some of the best writing at the AV Club.

It sure is now.

And I thought he hit the horn to signal their people (other "Wolves"), indicating they should investigate.

In 1996, Alice Cooper opened for The Scorpions on their "Pure Instinct" tour.

I loved Ostrander's 'Manhunter' run. Haven't seen it referenced in decades.
