@Faren22: Why wait? Put down what you can today, and whatever else tomorrow (or later).
@Faren22: Why wait? Put down what you can today, and whatever else tomorrow (or later).
@LongLiveTheThing: Yup, what the other commenter said. Doing this is basically the same.
@mindf1ow: My coworker came in yesterday raving about Cortex Command.
@Jezuz: Not at all. It there for your donation. If you can't afford 7 bucks, give what you can. If you think you will be able to afford it later down the road, pay a penny today and whatever else you feel necessary tomorrow. No one will judge you, especially since it's anonymous. Only you know what you can…
@mooted: I'm sure other sites do the same. Going forward, not so much. Everyone is scrambling to make changes. If it can happen to an news agg. empire like Gawker, it can happen to almost any other.
That's going to be worth something in 20 years...
@Koda89: Then it's probably not the result of brute force. If you had a hard password like I said, it's nearly impossible to brute force a password like that.
The link up top doesn't work. I had to go into my account and change it that way for it to work. Now it's fine.
Something is wrong with this. It keeps telling me that I'm entering my old password wrong but I'm not. I even reset my password and logged in fresh and then tried to change it with the new "old password" and it still won't let me.
@Koda89: Anyone can get your email address. Just make a really hard password. Use numbers, letters, capitals, and special characters. You'll be fine.
@Vidunder: Consider it a warning or a wakeup call. I used the same password for a lot of stuff, but not anymore. My bank passwords are now different from my news aggregate site passwords and they are different from my bills/subscription services sites. If I ever need to change, just rotate a number or random letter.
@RobTheBuilder: Yes you will. Now calm down, it could have happened to any site out there.
@alexjg42: Rumor has it, no. It was in response to a Denial of service attack done months ago where Anonymous couldn't bring Gawker down. There was some rumblings of gawker gloating about it and anonymous tried again...successfully, which is today.
@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: They don't really have to make it better honestly. If they create a great story and have the same exact game mechanics and graphics, it will be awesome.
I asked this yesterday, but figured I'd give it another shot today. Anyone have any must have app recommendations for me for an Android device? I'm having a lot of fun checking out the marketplace but I'm curious of any recommendations you guys may have. Games are welcome too, but I already have Angry Birds :)
@maxtothez: Hah, that's what I've been hearing. Can't wait to dive in.
@zackfair: Just make sure they deserve to be approved. The comment needs to be worthwhile and add to the conversation/topic being discussed.
I'm getting a Droid 2 today. Anyone have any suggestions on must have apps/games? I'm new to the Droid scene and I'm coming from a Blackberry device.
@DDigital: That's nuts. What exactly did gawker do to piss off 4chan?
I don't know if it's connected, but I've gotten two notices recently about suspicious activities on my accounts. My facebook was attempted to be logged into from California (I live in MD) yesterday and my gmail was attempted as well. I don't use the same password for both kotaku and important stuff so I'm ok, but it…
