@OneKidney: While I'm not trying to justify the bugs Fallout has, comparing it to Mass Effect is a little rough. Mass Effect is a linear game, Fallout 3 was an open world with huge environments. Mass Effect devs had it easy debugging and QA'ing because the user could only really go forward and in some cases another

@bluebogle: I wish I could run this on the PC. I'd be there in a heartbeat. I'm force to play on the 360 with my game save bug and all.

@Damn the Fanboys: The 360 version has a crippling game save bug where once you complete a quest, your game save corrupts. 2/3 of mine are corrupt and I can't play past a certain portion of the game. It's killing me, but I'm constantly refreshing the Bethesda page waiting for word of a fix.

@Neon: At 6 hours in, I was loving it too. It wasn't until I got to 10-12 hours that the game breaking bugs showed up.

@ToKeN2k6: hopefully it's released and good to go by the time I get off work...I really want to play tonight

Did the guys at Bethesda mention anything about the game save errors, Brian? That seems to be the roughest of the bunch right now for the 360. Hopefully they are touching on that.

@Dolcino: I'm just angry now. I'm at work and I would normally be looking forward to getting home to play, but now I'm just scouring the internet looking for any news on a fix.

@Dolcino: Yeah, I don't think it is. All of my saves are manual and 2/3 of them are corrupted. The remaining one is a couple hours earlier so I'm nervous that if I play it, it will just eventually become corrupted whenever I get to the point that corrupted the other two.

Is anyone else on Kotaku experiencing the game save issue on the 360 version of Fallout New Vegas? In case you haven't seen it, basically when you're about 10-12 hours into the game and after Novac, when you go to load up your file you get an error that says something like, "DLC cannot be read, do you want to load

@Uchikoma: That's a solid plan. It will be fixed, no doubt...but when is the question.

@Johny45: The 360 version for me.

@Jurai: How far into the game are you? The issue happens around the 10-12 hour mark and right after Novac and sometimes near the Strip. Be sure to have a save before you get to Novac because all of mine from Novac on are corrupted now. Same with everyone else experiencing it.

@SapienChavez: I haven't seen complaints about it on the PC, only the 360. That's the only common denominator the people on the forums can come up with. In each case, that was the last big item we all picked up. But mine isn't on my person, it's in a safe, so I don't know how much credence goes into it.

@Snake_Plissken: I doubt that, but think what you will. The game just came out yesterday and even if 10 people, who all knew each other, got the game early enough to put over 40 hours each into the game, I'm sure they would have seen bugs.

@s8Riot: If you have an earlier save that works you're fine, but a lot of people are getting to around the same place in the game and having the issues pop up again. So, at this point, people are nervous to play because it seems to happen around 10-12 hours each time.

@dcy123: wait until the 10 hour mark when you get the game ending save game bug. Happened to me and a bunch of people on the official forums. When I try to load the game it says can't find DLC and asks if I want to play it anyways with it. I hit yes and then it says, can't find hard drive. This is happening to

@Uchikoma: 360 version is broken with a save corruption issue around 10 hours in.

@Snake_Plissken: Not everyone can afford to keep a computer up to date every year with new hardware. That's why we choose consoles that last a few years.

@ajnewman: It doesn't have to be as good, but it has to work. Game ending save corruptions won't cut it.

@Dolcino: You're only 3 hours in. The big game ending bugs don't happen until at least 10-12 hours in. Play it, but save often and steer clear of a space suit in the Novac quest line. Apparently it's bugged to hell and could be causing save game corruptions, like it did to me. But it doesn't just corrupt one file,
